The
Challenge
In 2006 our national
political leaders from both sides of
the aisle were ready to take our nation in the wrong direction with
“comprehensive immigration reform.”
Through emails, blogs, talk shows,
and good old fashion letter-writing
the American people made their voice heard.
We stopped the Kennedy-McCain bill
in spite of where our leaders wanted
to take us.
The Problem With Our National
Leadership
Today, our leadership
situation at the national level has
not improved much. No
matter who wins
the upcoming election, it does not look like we are going to get the
kind of
clear, decisive leadership that America needs.
Most conservatives I talk to
are frustrated and apprehensive
about the future of our county. Many
say
all we can do is hunker down and weather the storm, but I am not ready
to head
for the bunker yet.
Stand Up and Be Heard
Our nation needs us to stand
up and be heard. She
needs us now more than ever precisely
because of the crisis in national leadership that we face. It is not enough sit and
wait for the next
Ronald Reagan. You
know he would not
want us to do that. Too
much damage
would be done in the meantime.
The Coming Years
In the coming years, we will
be challenged to stand up and
be heard, just like we did in 2006, when we stopped Kennedy-McCain. It is through
organizations like CCM that you
can make your voice heard. We
invite you
to join fellow conservatives in standing up for America.

Our Task
"Our
task now is not to sell a philosophy, but to make the majority of
Americans, who already share that philosophy, see that modern
conservatism offers them a political home..."
"The job is
ours and the job must be done. If not by us, who? If not now, when? Our
party must be the party of the individual. It must not sell out the
individual to cater to the group. No greater challenge faces our
society today than ensuring that each one of us can maintain his
dignity and his identity in an increasingly complex, centralized
society."
"Extreme
taxation, excessive controls, oppressive government competition with
business ... frustrated minorities and forgotten Americans are not the
products of free enterprise. They are the residue of centralized
bureaucracy, of government by a self-anointed elite. Our party must be
based on the kind of leadership that grows and takes its strength from
the people. Any organization is in actuality only the lengthened shadow
of its members."
-- Ronald
Reagan
